コロナ禍以降、私はより多くの目を描くようになった。
人々がマスクを着用する中、目こそが
人と繋がるために私が最初に、そして唯一
見ることのできる部分だからだ。
だから目は感情の象徴になり得ると思う。
この絵では、感情の蓄積のように目を積み重ねた。
私にとってそれらは、人々や自分自身を見るための
私自身の内なる小さな目のようなものだ。
 
Since Covid I have drawn a lot more eyes
because when people wear masks, eyes
are the only and the first thing I see to
connect with people. So I feel like eyes
could be a symbol for emotion. So in the
painting, I have the eyes stacked up like
the accumulation of emotions. And to
me, they are like the little eyes within
myself to see people and myself.
